On the afternoon of June 6, Professor Tan Xiangyong, Beijing Technology and Business University Party Secretary, expert of Governmental Special Allowance of the State Council, and doctoral tutor, was invited by our university to make a wonderful academic report under the title of ¡°Modernization and County Economic Development¡± in the 1515 conference room, office building for the teachers and students of Department of Economics and Management and the other core teachers in other departments. The report is chaired by Yao Jihuan, the Party Secretary of our university. Feng Ruiming, vice secretary of the Party committee, and He Zhengyun, vice president, attended the report.
At first, combined with his rich experience in teaching, research and management, Professor Tan pointed out that the modern university teachers should undertake the main task of teaching, research and social services. Combined with China¡¯s current reality of economic development, Professor Tan put forward that the county economic development is an important part of China¡¯s modernization. Four key tasks should be done in the county economic development: first, overall county planning; second, build good counties, towns, and villages; third, optimize the industrial structure to achieve agricultural modernization; fourth, protect the interests of farmers. At the same time, he proposed that our country should not only pay attention to macro-strategy issues, but also to micro-organization issues in China¡¯s modernization and county economic development.
Combined with the issues of county economic development, our teachers and students communicated and exchanged further ideas with Professor Tan.
The report further deepen the teachers¡¯ understanding of the main tasks of the university, broaden the teachers¡¯ professional knowledge and academic research perspective, and stimulate the students¡¯ learning interest in the professional knowledge.
After the report, Professor Tan further communicated with Yao Jihuan, our Party Secretary and other leaders on the college Party construction and school management.
